Year-End Wrap-Up

It's hard to believe that 2024 is coming to an end. And it has been some year! Between new regulatory changes, market competitiveness and that little thing known as "AI", the pharmaceutical industry is seeing substantial change. At PharmSaver, we've contributed some change ourselves. Let's wrap up the year with a short list of accomplishments where we helped bring value to you - our incredibly important pharmacy partners.

Tech Tips for Pharmacies

Five Tips to Make your Job Easier

As a busy Pharmacy Tech, you know how challenging the position can be. At PharmSaver, we make the pharmaceutical ordering process smoother and help your pharmacy save money, but have you thought about other things that make your job easier and more efficient? Here are some tips that can help:

1. Stay Organized: Keep your pharmacy tidy and well organized. Don't let it get out of control and make sure medications and supplies are stored properly and marked correctly to make it easier to find what you need.

2. Prioritize: Learn what is most important as it relates to your job and stay focused on that (e.g. Patient Safety). No matter what someone may tell you, you can only do one thing at a time well, so focus on what is important and urgent.

3. Use Technology: Learn your Pharmacy Management system and how to use your critical order platform, PharmSaver.net. By becoming proficient with both you'll reduce chance of error and increase your productivity. 4. Double-Check your Work: Always double-check prescriptions and labels to ensure accuracy. Patient safety is a must.

5. Take a break: We get it - pharmacies are busy places but you need to take a few short breaks throughout the day to recharge and stay motivated.

New Year's Eve Around the World

Last year we did a Q4 blog on "The History of New Year's Resolutions". This year, we're following it up with a couple of locations around the world that are hosting the biggest New Year's Eve parties. Let's jump right in...

Sydney, Australia: One of the first major cities to welcome the new year, Sydney Harbor comes alive with a spectacular fireworks display framed by one of the most beautiful natural harbors in the world and the famous Sydney Harbor bridge.

New York City, New York, USA: It wouldn't be New Year's without the iconic ball drop in Times Square, with millions of people attending in person or watching on TV or streaming service. It's an unforgettable party with famous people, music and fun. You don't want to miss the 2025 "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" with this year's headliners of Rita Ora, the Jonas Brothers, Mark Ambor, Megan Moroney, TLC and more!

Mobile, Alabama, USA: Get ready for a sweet New Year's tradition. New York City may have the ball drop but in Mobile, at midnight, an 8-foot tall MoonPie descends from the sky. Participants enjoy a large fireworks display and live entertainment, and of course, plenty of MoonPies for snacking.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: Our southern hemisphere friends know that Copacabana Beach is the place to be on New Year's Eve. Join the millions of people promoting peace, enjoying a massive fireworks display, and fantastic musical performances.

Tokyo, Japan: Offers many New Year's Eve celebrations but the real event happens on New Year's Day when local shrines feature ceremonial bell-ringing ritual and the first prayers for good fortune in the new year.
