Today, we're diving into a little known but powerful tool that helps pharmacies hit shipping minimums without the usual cart-wrangling headaches. It's called Manual Redistribution, and it's built into the Cart Genie feature on PharmSaver.

The Problem:

You've built your cart across 4 or 5 wholesalers. Most are good to go. But one wholesaler's cart just won't reach the shipping minimum. What now? Sure, you could painstakingly jot down the NDCs, clear that wholesaler's cart, then go searching on the Order page - but who has time for that?

The Solution:

This is where Cart Genie steps in. Start by clicking the "Help me checkout" link found on the wholesaler's cart that you want to manage. You'll be greeted by PharmSaver's proprietary Cart Genie. Two options at the left will make quick work of moving the items from a wholesaler that cannot checkout to one that can.

The first is "One Step Redistribution", which does all the work and automatically redistributes items from the wholesaler that can't checkout to those that can. Works great except it may not make the same choice as you do.

So, let's take a look at "Manual Redistribution".

This is where the magic happens. All the legwork of searching for the best deals is done for you, but you stay in control.

Manual Redistribution lists each item individually, showing the current price, alternative wholesalers with the same NDC, their pricing, lot expiration dates, and savings/cost associated with moving the item. Also, and this is a big one, it shows how much more the wholesaler needs to reach shipping minimum. Use the intuitive right arrow to make the move.

Once you've redistributed all eligible items, your cart is optimized and ready to go; no note taking, no pricing guesswork, and best of all, no wasted time.
